Google, the best search engine also seems to have a little bit of brains of its own. Dont believe me? Try running this query on Google. "time in Houston, Texas"
You will be greeted by a line which displays time at that particular city. Surprised, well... its just the beginig. Told you google has got lil bit of brains.
This technique works for most of the cities in United States and United Kingdom but not for cities in other countries.

BBC Alerts Ticker
This new program available in the BBC website is a must have for those who crave for the latest news headlines.
The feature I like most is the ticker. It does not take up much desktop space, and scrolls the latest news on top. You can take a quick glance from time to time to see if something new is up.
When you move the cursor over the ticker, the news headlines stop to move and when you click one headline a small window pops up giving a brief about the headline, if interested you can go ahead and open the link in your firefox and read the story fully.
This program sits in the system tray and when there is a newsflash a small window will pop-up and provide you with important information and link where you can read more about it.
Radio shows are also advertised through the alert system.

Firefox extension - Context search
URL: http://www.cusser.net/extensions/contextsearch/
This is one extension that I find very handy when needed. All I have to do to search a particular string is to select it, then right click and choose the search engine. Its as simple as that.
This is the only one extension that I have installed in firefox after a long time. Are firefox people running out of ideas??

One thing I hate about IBM laptops...
One thing I hate about IBM laptops, or is it Lenovo laptops is that those laptops dont have a windows key in the keyboard. It some times pisses me off to the core.
Man I either have to press Ctrl + Esc or I hate to use the mouse. Worst of all, lenovo laptops have 2 mouse, but no windows and right click key.
I would rather use my HP laptop than move to Lenovo.
